On June 2, 1999, Candy Bar, (King William) declared that Pot Pie needed a Princess!

Lori Sutphin found humour & inspiration in his words and declared that on that day, I would henceforth be known, as the Princess of Pot Pie. I got a crown and every thing!    (:

My name is  Barbara Tyler.
I was born in St Albans , West Virginia in 1962.
I am the daughter of Milton & Jo Ann Williams-Holstein.

I was blessed  with  a very large family. Over 32 aunts and uncles and nearly 40 cousins.

At an early age, my father taught me  the importance of  caring about others and always giving something back. And about  the richness of finding pleasure in the simple things in life.
He would remind me to "always leave everything better than you found it".

We moved a lot, as I grew up, so when I came to Maryland and married John Tyler, I was able to finally settle down into one place. Johns parents are Pete(now deceased) and Lois.

And slowly...as I got to know the people of the town, the stories and the personalitites began to unfold.

When I began working at the Wittman Post Office, I kept a journal of the stories that happened and  gradually, with the growth of computer technology... the journal became a web site.

Its such a pleasure to....in a small way, bring Pot Pie to life in this type of media.
