Isabelle Fisch

Of Wittman, MD, passed away December 21, 2006, in Wilmington, DE, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She touched the lives of many people through her years of dedication in the Maryland Social Service System and after retirement, her volunteer work. Her social service career extended from Elkton, MD, as a social worker through Baltimore County as Assistant Director and Dorchester County as Director of Social Services. She was a graduate of the University of Delaware, and she received a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Fisch; and beloved friends in the Buchwald Family; also many other loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Isadore and Caroline Fisch.

Graveside service will be 2 pm, Tuesday, December 26, at the Jewish Community Cemetery, Foulk Rd., Wilmington. Shiva will be observed 7 pm, Tuesday evening at the Fisch residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either Adas Kodesh Shel Emeth Cong., Washington Blvd. & Torah Dr., Wilm., DE 19802; Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilm., DE 19808; the Helen Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Rd., Newark, DE 19713; or to the charity of your choice.
